YOUNG BHANGRA about?

Young Bhangra was established with a dream to help one and all to connect with roots of PUNJABI culture. Believe us! Dreams do the MAGIC, and now here we are, as Calgary’s first official bhangra club, teaching the art of folk to hundreds of students.

Yes, because according to a new study, presented in American Heart Association’s Epidemiology/Lifestyle 2016 Scientific Sessions, stressed on the importance of dance for fitness. Even if you’re up in years and out of shape, you should be dancing, as it demands a lot of energy output because it involves “movement in all directions,” says Nick Smeeton, coauthor of that report. Bhangra workout is same and sometimes more effective than traditional workout plans, because it makes your body flexible, pumps up your heartbeat and as a result you torch fat and loose those extra pounds.

What Young Bhangra did?

So, after sensing the importance of dance for staying fit, Young Bhangra started Bhangra Workout Classes.

Our Bhangra fitness classes offer a carefully crafted set of schedules, through which, you dance, learn bhangra/gidha and stay fit. Since, dancing instills a sense of celebratory mood and joy, people who join our fitness classes tend to stay on path, instead of getting bored from same routines followed in common workout programs.
